Anyway, enjoy the newest version.
Chapter 1
Sat on my soft bed, I looked out through the cold window, pressing my nose up against the glass, looking out at the world. It was snowing this time of year, January in fact, the coldest time in England, and I was 8 years old. The snow spread over my vast garden of my mansion like a white sheet. I could feel the presence of my mum walking into my room, I turned round to look at her. She was stood at my door, carrying a steaming mug of hot chocolate on a tray, she walked over to me and placed the mug on my bedside table and sat herself down beside me.
"Mei, were you looking out of the window again?" She said, looking at me with her warm, brown eyes.
I nodded at her, and suddenly burst out into tears. Mum came closer and hugged me, soothing me with her warmth.
"Have them people been bullying you at school again?" She asked, wearing a concerned expression on her face.
I nodded, tears streaming down my face. Mother stopped hugging me and looked at me, I could see her sad expression as if she was recalling some bad memories. She looked out the window, and I followed her gaze.
"You know..." She said softly, I looked at her. She was looking out the window still, but she was talking.
"There is a huge world out there" She continued, "The world is way larger than the eye could ever see".
I looked at her in astonishment.
She looked at me. "And you know" she
smiled, "I used to come from a country named Japan".
"Ja...pan" I said, I loved the sound of that word, "I know you come from Japan mummy!".
Mum giggled.
"I know, I know" she smiled, "that's the language we can speak also, as well as English".
"I know that too!" I said, a bit irritated.
She giggled again, "You are one funny girl" she said tickling me, making me laugh hysterically.
"Stop! Stop!" I shouted, crying out with laughter. She stopped, and looked at me.
"You know what mummy?" I said smiling at my mum, "someday I want to go to Japan!".
She smiled at me warmly, "If that's your dream Mei, then go on and follow it".
"Yep!" I said, wearing a cheesy grin.
That was one of my favourite moments of my childhood. My mother died 1 year after that in a car accident on the way home from work in a taxi. I cried and cried at the funeral, after all I loved her with all my heart and because of her I found my first dream. But I came to terms that I had to move on.
So I decided to go on and make my mother proud. As I grew older I went through hardships after that. I continued to go to school and get bullied by the kids, and still get best grades in my year, not caring what they say. Everyday I researched Japan, and before I knew it, I was an otaku through all my school years. I saved up every year to fulfil my dreams, with help from my father. And then when I finished college and university, at the age of 20, I headed on my way to Japan.
My dad parked his black ford outside the airport, he used this car not to cause commotion despite being how rich he was. I opened the door, and just as I was about to get out of the car my father grabbed my arm.
I looked at his face, he looked like he was going to burst out with tears any moment which would be an unusual sight since my father is a well-built Englishman, with short and smartly cut blonde almost grey hair.
"Are you sure?" His face was full of worry.
"Yes" I nodded confidently.
He gave me a smile, "You are just like your mother". He put his hand up against my cheek. We were almost in tears.
"Anyway you better head off" he smiled.
"I know" I smiled back. I hugged my father goodbye, grabbed my suitcase from the boot of the car, and walked of into the distance. Into my new life.
The end of Chapter 1.
